Community Empowerment
Indonesian Care is committed to supporting urban transformation by empowering underprivileged city communities to live independently and with agency. As a catalyst for collaboration, we bring together initiatives in non-formal education, the economy and health, so that every underprivileged community has the chance to grow in a more decent environment. Alongside professionals and strategic partners, we keep turning urban challenges into sustained, practical action for a more dignified future for the generations to come.
City Care
Beyond local action, Indonesian Care also plays an active part in starting a national movement, encouraging cities across Indonesia to form a City Care Forum. The forum is designed as a strategic space bringing institutions, creative communities and professionals together in an inclusive ecosystem of collaboration.
The City Care movement continues to spread, inspiring regions across the country to act together:
- Medan Care: since 2020, Medan Care has run community empowerment work in Pulo Brayan Lingkungan IX through tutoring, futsal coaching, small-business training in boiled mackerel processing, and health check-ups.
- Malang Peduli: focused on supporting students from Eastern Indonesia through computer training, spiritual mentoring and staple food assistance.
